Usage (students using it, sign-ups, consents) is read live from the school portal database on every load. Play vitals refresh every 6 h via a scheduled Worker.

Downloads come from the Play Console (the Reporting API has no install metric); the first automated monthly report lands ≈ 1 Aug 2026. Until then the count is updated by hand — POST /api/usage with the refresh token.
